1950's Angular Red & Black chairs
These are a (breakable) pair of classic Red Vinyl 1950's hard-line armchairs with foam stuffing on heavy black tubular frames; reminiscent of Robin Day in a less institutional mode. There is a very slight tonal difference between the chairs in the red upholstering, but the stretch is firm and complete. One chair bears a small repair and minor damage to the vinyl at it's top corner however. The frames are in solid condition with some patchiness in the paintwork, in keeping with their age. The wooden armrests have been brought back to a pleasing blonde finish, with elements of their paint history visible on the sides.
Overall these chairs are in good condition with some minor age and use-related flaws. A strong style statement in iconic colours of the '50s.
