Retrospect is situated on 'Cows Lane' between Christchurch Cathedral and Dublin Castle and is a welcome oasis from the noise and bustle of city life. This ultra modern pedestrian area is home to a community of eclectic, enthusiastic and independent retailers. We specialise in vintage furniture, lighting, mirrors, glass and accessories and showcase the best design from the 1930s to the 1970s with an emphasis on teak and rosewood mid-century Scandinavian. Our shop displays all the periods together with funky retro lighting sitting comfortably alongside elegant thirties and fifties furniture.

With over 20 years experience, having our roots in the trendy 80s Mother Redcaps Market, we were the first shop in Ireland to specialise in mid-century-retro and as a result have an extensive network of suppliers throughout Europe and the UK. Each item is handpicked to fit our criteria of quality materials, workmanship and simplicity of design. While we do sell designer items we are not hung up on designer labels but more interested in quality pieces with a strong design aesthetic.

All our furniture is cleaned and restored before presentation on the shop floor and most importantly all our lighting is thoroughly checked and where necessary re-wired and ready for immediate use. A unique and value added aspect to our small family business is the intimate customer service we provide. Our customers have the re-assurance of a well established, traceable and accountable vendor.
